Zoology is the branch of biology that studies the animal kingdom, including the structure, embryology, evolution, classification, habits, and distribution of all animals. The word zoology comes from the Greek words Zoon, meaning “animal”, and logos, meaning “the study of”. Actually it encompasses all aspects of scientific knowledge about animals.
