Islam:
The religion of Muslims, a monotheistic faith regarded as revealed through Muhammad as the prophet of Allah. Islam originated in Makkah and Madina at the start of the 7th century CE, approximately 600 years after the founding of Christianity.[Islamic is a word which denote to Islam]
History:
The study of past events connected with a particular person or thing or a period of time.
Culture:
The ideas,customs and social behaviour of a particular people or society.[Islamic culture and Muslim culture refer to cultural practices common to historically Islamic people].
Relation between college & department:
Palashbari Government College, Gaibandha was founded in 1964(Nationalization 1988). it's teaching of Islamic History & Culture also started in 1964. The Department has been teaching HSC and Degree Pass Course level students. Honour's and Masters Course not open to yet.

History of pre Islamic Arabia, Prophet Muhammad (SM)(570-632 CE),Khulafai Rashideen (632-661 CE), Umayyad Caliphate (661-750 CE), Abbasid Caliphate (750-1258 CE), Umayyad Rules in Spain (711-1492 CE), Fatimid Caliphate in North Africa (909-1171 ), History of Muslims in India with Delhi Sultanate (712-1526 CE),Mughal Rules (1526-1858 CE), Company Rules in Bengal (1858-1947 CE), History of Bengal (Pakistan period : 1947-1971).
